DIY Clothespin Wall Art Mirror

I recently fulfilled my biggest dream, to move into my own place. I scrimped and saved to get here and I made the dream a reality, but now that I’m here I realized I had to turn that page and get onto a new dream, which was doing decorating on a tight budget. No one wants blank walls, so I scoured the internet for great DIY ideas to make my new little place the palace I knew it could be. I love gold regal-looking fixtures and those can be a little pricey, but when I found this opulent DIY Clothespin Wall Art Mirror tutorial on Youtube, it was everything I wanted for my DIY home decor ideas. When I started, I already had most of the required materials. I had spray paint, cardboard, and clothespins, I did have to go to Michael’s Craft Store and buy a small round mirror for the center of the project, and a cheap rhinestone garland on a string that I could cut into individual pieces. but with my Michael’s Coupon, it was only $4.00. I started by marking and drawing the circle backing from cardboard and glued on my strategically dismantled clothespin configurations.

Then I spray painted it gold with Krylon 22 Karat Spray Paint, (silver also looks amazing). The next step is to glue the little rhinestone detail at the end of each clothespin end.

I then glued a string at the back to mount it on the wall and I could not believe how gorgeous this DIY project turned out! I put it right in the entryway and everyone sees it first, so it sets the tone for my opulent rich hippy decor. I highly recommend this project, it’s a real winner!
