Texas White Trash! Yes, you heard that right! What on Earth is it and why would I want to eat it, you might say. Well let me tell y’all, this is a tradition in the Lone Star State and we love our Texas White Trash more than our turkey at Christmas time. My Mom would make a huge batch of it and put it in individual bags for gifts, and each family member got their own bag. The funny thing was, unbeknownst to us, she would hide a bunch of extra bags in all kinds of places we would find throughout the year! Now there is no right or wrong way to do this, we used pecans, peanuts, pretzels, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Wheat Chex, Corn Chex, and Rice Chex and I can fully verify that recipe is killer diller! Bt you can add whatever you want, whatever you have, however large or small of the desired amounts, it’s all good here, anything will work. You start by melting your white chocolate, you can do this in a double boiler or in a microwave. You can use White Almond Bark or Nestles White Chocolate Chips. Looking at all the recipes out there, I also found a great White Trash recipe tutorial by @Camrynscloset on Youtube her link is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WAw7JBzOE9Y
Then you mix your dry ingredients in a bowl and cover with the melted white chocolate and cover well by mixing with 2 large spoons.
Then you spread out the entire mixture on wax paper and let harden.
This recipe will not disappoint, I love it so much, it really tastes like a real Texas Christmas!
