I recently went over to my old best friend’s house and she had one of the most amazing waterfalls I have ever seen on her porch. When I asked her where on Earth she got it and she said, to my complete amazement, that she had made it herself! I was completely dumbfounded, I said, you mean you are a waterfall maker? She laughed and laughed, no far from it she said, then she pulled out her phone and showed me a Youtube video where she found this amazing idea. I couldn’t wait to get home and try this out. I started getting my materials together as soon as I pulled into my garage because I was going to make this DIY waterfall a reality, I could not wait because this waterfall is so awesome looking.
- A Boxcutter
- Red and Grey Paint
- Quick Dry Cement
- A Wood Burner
- A Pump
First, draw out all your brick shapes on your styrofoam and tunnel out the grooves where your faux mortar will go.
Then mix up a medium size bowl of your quick dry cement and apply it to the faux brick walls you have created then stick them to the styrofoam base.
Then make a well bowl for your waterfall out of styrofoam by stacking, then covering with your quick dry cement.
Then paint your gorgeous waterfall and add a corrugated roof and then fill your well in the middle with water and organize your pump and tubing to get the water to run off of the faux roof.
This fountain turned out more lovely than I could ever even imagined, the kids love looking at the waterfall too.
